[Personal] Steve's blog post about finding a sales pitch

**Here at Neighbourhood Buzz, we decided to give the blog post a personal spin today. As a start-up, we go through many interesting and challenging… well, challenges. Follow along as Steve talks about writing his latest sales pitch.**

Today I’m trying to hone down my sales pitch. I’m finding this task difficult to do mostly because no one likes selling and no one likes to be sold too. What I love doing is bringing our clients value so I’ll try and stick to that. We’re launching 2 new products and another is on the Horizon, so I’m having trouble really nailing the message for our materials.

I’m furiously searching google for the ‘great pitch’ ‘best pitch’ this brings up pitches for investors. Relevant to me but not today. So I change my search to ‘best sales pitch’ and the first thing to come up is an article about how the best sales pitch is no pitch at all. Love the concept but this doesn’t help me in my particular task today.

Luckily I came across this video of Ari Gold from Entourage helping Eric with a sales pitch. A bit of humour always helps! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBGyWTSq_Aw

Then I came across this beauty. http://www.amrmedia.com/selling/examples-of-effective-sales-pitch-simple-strategies-for-sales-pitches/

It gave me the structure I was looking for to build a great pitch. Tying together some essential elements like stating the problem and including a call to action.

This is going to be our pitch at WEBCON on May 10th at Pearson Airport Convention Centre. Well it’s the first iteration.

Feedback is appreciated! Let me know if I’m hitting the right notes.

Steve @ Neighbourhood Buzz

“Do you know what your residents are saying about you online? Have you googled your building lately? The challenge all property management companies are facing these days is Residents are more and more in control of your marketing and reputation through review sites and social media.  You have options.  Neighbourhood Buzz has the best way for you to listen to then influence what residents are saying about you. It’s the first way for landlords to turn residents into their marketers and reap the rewards for years to come. We’ve been running some tests on how quickly we can get ranked in google. Our SEO consultant said 3 weeks would be aggressive. We got ranked in 3 days.  We understand that landlords are concerned about what residents may say. We have almost 2 years experience keeping out clients happy even through stressful situations (like a fire). You can talk to some of them here today.  In fact, you could have a complete view of your online reputation in 24 hours, and we’ll identify opportunities that you are missing right now.  We have a WEBCON special today, we are waiving the set up fee AND first 2 months of monitoring, with no obligation to continue. This will give you all the benefits of listening online at no risk to you. Can we sign you up for a demo?”
